Description
The C1 Visit Visa is a single-entry visa designed for foreign nationals wishing to visit Indonesia for various permitted purposes. This visa grants an initial stay of 60 days from the date of arrival and can be extended multiple times up to a maximum of 180 days .
Permitted Activities:
- Tourism and visiting friends/family
- Personal development or studying Indonesian tourism attractions
- Traveling by cruise ship
- Attending MICE events (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) as a participant
- Conducting discussions, negotiations, and/or signing business agreements at offices, factories, or production sites
- Conducting field visits to offices, factories, production sites, investment locations, or mining sites
- Undertaking medical-related activities
Key Advantages:
- Conversion to ITAS: This visa can be converted to a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS/KITAS) without leaving Indonesia through the bridging visa mechanism
- Extended Stay: Up to 180 days total with extensions
- No Sponsor Required: Generally does not require a sponsor (except for specific categories)
Sponsor Exceptions:
You do NOT need an Indonesian sponsor to apply for this visa, UNLESS you:
- Are stateless; or
- Hold non-national travel documents (such as travel document, titre de voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, emergency/temporary passport) ; or
- Are a citizen of specific countries on the Immigration special list
Visa Extension:
- Extensions can be done multiple times up to a maximum of 180 days total
- Extension process is done online through a registered account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id
- Extensions require a visit to the immigration office for biometric data collection (photo and fingerprints)
- Extension applications must be submitted up to 14 days before the current permit expires
Important Provisions:
- This visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If not used within this period, you must apply for a new visa
- Visa validity differs from stay permit duration, check your visa for stay permit information
- Holders of this visa are PROHIBITED from selling goods/services or receiving compensation/wages from individuals or corporations in Indonesia
- Holders of this visa are PROHIBITED from being a speaker at any event
- This is a single-entry visa leaving Indonesia will invalidate the visa.
Requirements
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the entry date.
- Recent color photograph.
- Personal bank statement for the last 3 months (minimum balance equivalent to USD $2,000).
- Birth certificate (for applicants under 18 years old).
- Applicant must be outside of Indonesia.
