For D1 & D2 Holders (Tourist & Business):
Extend your current visit by 60 days—twice—for up to 120 additional days before needing to exit and re-enter. Perfect for digital nomads, frequent travelers, and business professionals who want to maximize each visit .
For D12 Holders (Pre-Investment):
Extend your stay once for an additional 180 days, giving you up to a full year (360 days) of cumulative stay. After reaching the maximum, simply exit and re-enter—2-year visa holders can continue using their valid visa for multiple entries throughout its validity period .

All extensions require an in-person visit for photo and fingerprints - No Exit During Process
You cannot leave Indonesia while your extension is being processed
Specific to D1 & D2 Extensions:
- Your visa validity (1/2/5 years) remains unchanged—only your stay permit (ITK) is extended
- When you exit and re-enter, you automatically receive a new 60-day stay permit
- D1 and D2 visas CAN be converted to ITAS/KITAS through onshore conversion with a qualified sponsor (requires minimum 31 days remaining)
Specific to D12 Pre-Investment Extensions:
Immigration authorities have significantly tightened D12 extension requirements. An extension is now only possible if you provide:
- Evidence of actual pre-investment activities
- A registered PT PMA (Foreign-Owned Company) with your name listed in the Deed of Establishment (Akta)
- Documentation proving the visa has been used strictly for its intended purpose
- Recent deportations have occurred for D12 misuse, including using it as a "lifestyle visa" without genuine business intent .
Restrictions (All Visa Types):
- Does NOT permit any form of paid work or employment in Indonesia
- Does NOT allow selling goods or services
- Does NOT permit receiving compensation from Indonesian individuals/corporations
- Overstaying is subject to daily penalties
- D12 visa CANNOT be converted to Limited Stay Permit (ITAS/KITAS)
- Passport Copy: Clear photo/scan of passport biodata page
- Arrival Stamp: Copy of your most recent arrival stamp or e-visa
- Recent Photograph: One recent color photograph (4x6 cm, white background)
- Current ITK: Your current e-Stay Permit (Izin Tinggal Kunjungan)
- Application Timing: Must apply minimum 14 days before current ITK expiry date
- For D12 Only: Additional documentation may be required to prove pre-investment activities (see notes above)
