The C12 Pre-Investment Visa is specifically designed for foreign nationals who are in the crucial phase of exploring business opportunities in Indonesia. Whether you're scouting locations for a resort in Bali, conducting market research in Jakarta, or performing feasibility studies for a manufacturing plant, this visa provides the legal foundation for serious investment preparation.
This single entry visa grants an initial stay of either 60 or 180 days from the date of arrival, with the flexibility to extend multiple times up to a maximum of 12 months total.
Permitted Activities :
- Conducting field surveys and site visits for potential business locations
- Performing comprehensive feasibility studies and market research
- Exploring investment opportunities and potential partnerships
- Tourism activities and visiting friends/family as secondary purposes
- Meeting with potential vendors, local partners, and government agencies
Restrictions:
- Does NOT permit any form of paid work, employment, or receiving compensation from individuals or corporations in Indonesia
- Does NOT allow selling goods or services
- Does NOT permit managing daily business operations
- Overstaying is subject to IDR 1,000,000 per day penalty
